# Tim Witter > I design and build AI and agent systems, reproducible Linux and NixOS infrastructure, and the network and security layers around them, for developer teams, startups and anyone working on hard technical problems. Email: [hello@timwitter.com](mailto:hello@timwitter.com) Location: Vienna, Austria. Remote worldwide; on-site in Vienna. Topics: AI systems, AI agents, LLM infrastructure, Linux, NixOS, Network security, Rust, Go, Python. Engagements: Scoped projects. Hourly support. Part of your team. ## Website - [English services and profile](https://timwitter.com/): AI systems, LLM integrations, agent workflows, Linux and NixOS infrastructure, network security and tooling. - [Leistungen und Profil auf Deutsch](https://timwitter.com/de/): KI-Systeme, LLM-Integrationen, Agenten-Workflows, Linux- und NixOS-Infrastruktur, Netzwerk, Security und Tooling. - [Full bilingual content](https://timwitter.com/llms-full.txt): Public service descriptions and all original articles, including code examples, in plain-text Markdown. ## Open-source project: Tentaflake My current open-source work: a NixOS tool that keeps AI agents running around the clock on a headless Linux machine. Each agent lives in its own isolated container, declared in a flake, and Tentaflake is the environment around them all. Pre-1.0 and under active development: interfaces and defaults may still change. Hermes and ZeroClaw are supported; OpenClaw is scaffold only. - [Tentaflake](https://timwitter.com/#tentaflake): Project overview on this website. - [Public repository](https://github.com/timfewi/tentaflake): Source code and project status. - [Project website](https://tentaflake.dev/): Public project overview. - [Documentation](https://docs.tentaflake.dev/): Setup and operating guidance. ## Writing in English - [All articles](https://timwitter.com/blog/) - [Boundaries before convenience](https://timwitter.com/blog/boundaries-before-convenience/): A useful capability is not the same thing as permission to use it everywhere. - [Coverage before clean reports](https://timwitter.com/blog/coverage-before-clean-reports/): A report with no findings may also be a report that never looked. - [A small, discoverable tool surface](https://timwitter.com/blog/small-discoverable-tool-surfaces/): Finding an operation should not silently grant the right to perform it. - [Separate levels of architecture evidence](https://timwitter.com/blog/separate-levels-of-architecture-evidence/): A design statement, a test, a build, and a running system answer different questions. - [Structural navigation with honest unknowns](https://timwitter.com/blog/structural-navigation-with-honest-unknowns/): An index can guide a code search without proving every connection. - [A predictable environment for agents](https://timwitter.com/blog/predictable-agent-environments/): Repeatable work needs stable tools and guidance that outlives a single request. - [Proportionate isolation, not safety badges](https://timwitter.com/blog/proportionate-isolation-not-safety-badges/): Isolation reduces particular risks; it does not turn a workflow into a safe one. - [Permission to prepare is not permission to act](https://timwitter.com/blog/permission-to-prepare-not-act/): A practical boundary between drafting a plan and exercising authority. - [Verification is a project contract](https://timwitter.com/blog/verification-as-a-project-contract/): Choosing fast and broad checks without confusing their evidence. - [Scaffolding without surprises](https://timwitter.com/blog/scaffolding-without-surprises/): Why preview, ownership, and explicit mutation matter in repository setup. - [Research needs an evidence trail](https://timwitter.com/blog/research-with-an-evidence-trail/): Separating discovery, source reading, and conclusions under uncertainty. - [Evaluate the claim you actually make](https://timwitter.com/blog/evaluate-the-claim-you-make/): Near misses, abstention, and fresh tests as parts of honest evaluation. - [Skills belong at the moment of need](https://timwitter.com/blog/skills-at-the-moment-of-need/): Using a timely recommendation without confusing guidance with authority. - [Visual quality comes from iteration, not a score](https://timwitter.com/blog/visual-quality-through-iteration/): Using viewports, UI states, and targeted rechecks as visual evidence. ## Optional - [Legal notice](https://timwitter.com/imprint/) - [Impressum](https://timwitter.com/de/impressum/) - [Privacy information](https://timwitter.com/privacy/) - [Datenschutzinformationen](https://timwitter.com/de/privacy/)
